NC Protests: A Family Talk part 2

Posted: September 8, 2017 in Uncategorized

Here is part 2 of the conversation I shared with two of my kids, both adults, talking about the NC protests that turned into a conversation about the extreme left and right interest groups that have high jacked the political conversation and polarized the country. While we focused predominantly on the Unite the Right group, we also were fairly critical of the Antifa and other extreme groups that both created a very violent and deadly situation, destruction of property, and ultimately the death of a young woman.

Please click the link that follows to listen to the second half the conversation. None of the aired conversation will be sensationalist, bi-partisan, or hateful, but rather a thoughtful examination of the proposals of each side of the extremist groups operating in Canada and the US, and the middle ground inhabitants (the majority of us) and what part we have to blame and what we can do to contribute to the changes we desire.

Usually I post an image, but there seems to be no image that fits this conversation or topic the way I would like. I also know how powerful images are in prefacing a topic, and can often highjack a viewer’s perspective…so today, no image.

Please click the link that follows to listen to the first half of a multi-serried conversation (with various people) about NC as a case study for what has gone terribly wrong, and what can be done to regain the progress we have made as a society and continue to build on that foundation.
