Listen in this week when I get to spend an hour in the mind and music of Brent Mason. After checking out our show, pop on down to O’Leary’s on Wednesdays for open mic night, and if you live far away from Saint John, you can find more of his music on Band Camp. Today I was joined in the studio by Christian Acosta, a Senior  Student in the BA for economics at UNBSJ, who is looking to get into the community and help move Saint John forward. We talked about the Duke Street Fire, specifically one young woman who is falling between the cracks, and then transitioned into a more in-depth talk about the issues Saint John faces such as food security, job security, housing security and the compound problems facing many Saint John natives as progress and innovation move into the area.
